Hosung Choo received his B.S. degree in radio science and engineering from Hanyang University in Seoul in 1998 and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, in 2000 and 2003, respectively. In September 2003, he joined the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Hongik University, Seoul, Korea, where he is currently a professor. His principal area of research is the use of the optimization algorithms in developing antennas and microwave absorbers. His studies include the design of small antennas for wireless communications, reader and tag antennas for RFID, and on-glass and conformal antennas for vehicles and aircraft.
