This course explores the history and tradition of English literature,
focusing on the major works in prose and verse from old English literature to the present.
Moreover, comparing literary texts with its cinematic representations,
we will have a chance to discuss the changing relationships between
what the United Kingdom was and what she is(or will be).
This comparative approach aims at a fuller understanding of English literature, culture,
and national identity, which will help students of English Education prepare themselves for more effective
English classes in their future.
