Course Description & Objective:
In this seminar, we will explore 20th-century American novels written by minority authors from various ethnic backgrounds. We will approach this literature by balancing textual and contextual concerns. We will be also concerned with the controversial issues of identity and location that have shaped the emergence of an ethnic American literary tradition.
